It was time to try my hand at making a doll, and in true Sonjia fashion, I decided to make it super complicated by not only making two, but by personalizing each one so that they look like India and Xavier.
In addition to personalizing hair and eye colors, I made each doll an outfit that the kids wear - and it was a HUGE hit! The boy doll's shirt is nearly an exact replica of Xavier's, so to say it went over well is an understatement. Xavier refused to wear anything his doll wasn't for two days. India was jealous of her doll's tutu for a day or so, even though it was modeled exactly on the one she already owns. India is the most obsessed with her doll's sparkly shoes. In fact, she made me take pictures just of them.
I'm considering making another for my niece's 8th birthday, but I wonder if she's too old? What do you think?
This item will soon be coming to my store (here and on Etsy) so if you'd love a miniature version of one of your favorite children, check it out!
