Part of my plan for 2015 is to continue to live deliberately. And Alt Summit is definitely a part of that! Imagine an entire weekend spent amongst some of the internets most creative and interesting designers, writers, artists, and craftspersons (that's politically correct, don't you know). I'm beside myself right now. I'm planning on leaving here armed with the knowledge I need to take successful photos, the inspiration to blog regularly, and (cross-my-fingers) a new friend or two.
So far the ladies I've met have been so warm and welcoming - which is a relief, because being in a room with more than one woman I'm not related to is kind of an anxiety-provoking experience for me.
Unfortunately, there were some technical problems leaving me without party plans for tonight. I'm pretty sure this was due to an oversight or a weird technical fluke and not at all a deliberate, mean, and passive-aggressive tactic to alienate me from all the girls, no matter what those voices in my head say! I would have loved to have gone out and mingled tonight, but I'm pretty excited to be here with you.
Does anyone else have gender-based anxiety or is it just me? Any advice?
