For my second day of posting watercolors, I painted a somewhat impressionistic representation of an arrangement of roses. I guess a less pretentious way of saying that would be to say, "Today, I tried to paint a rose bouquet, but it kind of sucked." (For the record, I love Impressionism, though.)
I had fun layering color and attempting to add in grey shadows, but in the end I had to add in a few pen lines to get the point across that these were, in fact, roses. In case I haven't mentioned it before, whenever I draw anything my true goal is only to have you know what I'm drawing. If you can tell that these are roses, I've succeeded. If not I need to try again.
